KIDS MINISTRY AT HOPE?
The mandate of our Children’s Ministry is to assist parents in the discipleship of their children by reinforcing scriptural principles being taught at home, providing children and families with opportunities for service and ministry, and calling children to an understanding of who they are in Christ,
What does Kid's Ministry Look Like at Hope Fellowship
Kid's Ministry begins at Hope the moment children walk through the door on a Sunday morning. Famiies come together with the rest of the body for a time of worship and ministry at 10:00 am. Children are encouraged to worship with their whole heart, as they follow the example of their parents. The children are dismissed to an age-appropriate teaching time at approximately 11:00 a.m. At this time, children are encouraged to come to the front of the sanctuary for a short blessing before leaving, allowing the adults to continue with their own teaching time.
There are separate areas for infants (0-1 year), toddlers (1 - 2 years), pre-school (3 years -kindergarten) and elementary children (Grade 1 - 5) The infant nursery is not staffed, however, there is a quiet space for nursing and caring for your little one located in the balcony area of the sanctuary. The toddler nursery is staffed. Parents will sign their child in and out of the nursery which is located on the main level in the education wing. Pre-school and elementary kids are ushered upstairs by the kids ministry team after the prayer time. Parents are required to collect their child at the close of the service.
Children are loved, taught and discipled by teams of adults and teens who have committed to serving the families of Hope through this ministry. They happily engage the children in activties and adventures that nurture and reinforce the teaching that the kids are recieving from their parents.
When the adult teaching time is over, all parents are required to pick up their children.
During the week, moms of all ages and stages, and pre-school kids are invited to get together at Moms to Moms, an informal time of sharing, hanging out, playing and laughing with our kids and each other.
